Israel mas prayoridad ang mga Pilipinong manggagawa sa industriya ng turismo dahil sa kaya nilang magbigay ng pinakamahusay na serbisyo para sa mga customers

Bago matapos ang taon na ito ay inaasahan na magkakaroon ng unang isang libong mga Pilipinong manggagawa ang mabibigyan ng trabaho sa tourism industry ng Israel. Narito ang pahayag ng Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines na si Rafael Harpaz patungkol sa pagiging prayoridad ng mga Pinoy workers sa mga hotel at restaurant job openings ng Israel dahil na rin sa pagiging de kalidad ng trabaho ng mga Pilipino.

“We decided to open Israel to a limited amount of overseas workers all over the world. We start with 2,000, and 1,000 of them will be Filipinos. Why Filipinos? Because you have the best service in hotels and restaurants. Filipino service and hospitality paved the way for us to open for the first time the hotel and tourism industry to an initial 1,000 Filipino workers by the end of this year,” pagpapaliwanag ni Harpaz.

Dagdag pa niya ay naging kauna-unahang bansa ang Pilipinas kung saan pumirma ang Israel ng 5-year agreement dahil na rin sa “e xcellent Filipino hospitality”. Para naman sa mga Pilipinong manggagawa na interesado sa ganitong oportunidad binigyang-linaw naman ng pamahalaan na ang magiging transaksyon ng mga Pilipinong manggagawa ay “government-to-government” dahil sa nakipagkasundo na ang gobyerno ng Israel sa Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) para na rin maiwasan ang matataas na placement fee na madalas na sinisingil ng mga pribadong recruitment agencies para sa mga interesadong mag-apply.

“In November, we are going to start the process of having Filipinos work in our tourism industry. And by the end of the year the first 1,000 can go there. Our bilateral relations had been laid down by great Filipino leaders: President Manuel Quezon opened the doors of the Philippines to Jews fleeing the Nazi regime in the late 1930s, and under the presidency of Manuel Roxas, the Philippines was the only Asian country in the United Nations General Assembly to vote in favor of the creation of the State of Israel on Nov. 29, 1947. We will always be grateful for these,” Karagdagang pahayag pa ni Harpaz.
