I can’t believe this is really happening, but I am so thrilled to tell you that we are in the final phase of our dream project. . We started construction on the house about seven months ago and it will take another 2 months or so until its done. Take a trip down memory lane with us as we reminisce and look back. . The first day of construction coincided with the eruption of Taal volcano in January. We were faced with a big challenge during our daily trips to the construction site in Tagaytay. The road was covered with thick ash falls and we experienced constant earth quakes and **** of power supply. But this did not dampen our spirits. We turned this natural ******** into an opportunity for us to help many displaced families from Taal. . We then contacted our friends to ask for donations so we can cook for and feed the evacuees, bringing them up with us for distribution to families everytime we visit the construction site. That made our trip more special. . Patty and I have been living in rental homes since we got married 10 years ago. It has always been our dream to build a house we can call our own. So this is something really big for us, and which is made more fulfilling due to the challenges brought about by the pandemic. We feel so grateful that despite the quarantine everything is happening as planned. . We had grand plans for the house but working with a shoestring budget made our house construction more challenging., but not impossible. Our creativity went a long way although we had to scale back some of our extravagant dream home desires. Patty and I had to decide where we were willing to compromise. We had to exercise careful budgeting and stay on track with the spending. I played the role of general contractor myself to lessen the expense. Patty and I shopped around for for all the materials and services needed to build our home. patty was on pinterest the whole time looking for pegs while i was always busy looking for suppliers that will give us our money’s worth. . It is so easy to get overwhelmed but the most important thing is not to let the joy of building a home get sucked out of the process! ❤️ #themuhlachbunchbuildsahouse
